How the number is actually built
These worked examples show how an invoice at OCRV Center is actually built: labour hours times the posted rate, plus materials calculated from those hours, plus parts at published markup, plus tax on parts and materials only. Every figure traces to the rate card.

Labour is not taxed in California, so the tax line applies only to the parts and the two supply lines.

The diagnostic hour is charged first and credited back once the repair is authorised, so it costs nothing where work proceeds.
